Join us at the POA building on December 11 at 630pm to go Christmas Caroling!
Welcome to Lake Dalecarlia!
Established in 1929 as a summer resort destination, Lake Dalecarlia thrives today as a year-around residential community with close proximity to schools, restaurants, retail and entertainment. The Property Owners Association, under the direction of its 13 member Board of Directors, continually works to enhance the community while preserving and maintaining its picturesque 180 acre private lake.

We hope you enjoy our website and find it to be a helpful guide and an informative introduction to the community of Lake Dalecarlia.

Lake Dalecarlia is a private lake community where residents are able to enjoy the many privileges of lakeside living. The clay-bottom lake, constructed in 1929, is approximately 180 acres, including its main body and five bays.

The Lake Dalecarlia Property Owners Association (LDPOA) holds title to the lake as well as several outlots and beaches that allow access to residents not living directly on the shoreline. The annual assessment and fees for the registration of all motorized and non-motorized watercraft are established each year at the November General Membership meeting.

During the summer, residents and their guests can actively participate in boating, skiing, fishing, swimming or relaxing at one of the two beaches. Speed boating is permitted on the main body of the lake between 10am and 7pm daily. Between 7pm and 10am the pace slows down and leisure boaters, pontoons and fishing boats meander about, as all areas of the lake are restricted to idle speed. In addition to summer activities on the lake, our community also offers two beaches, three playground areas, and access to a 9-hole golf course in the neighboring Fairways subdivision. The fun continues in the winter when many residents enjoy sledding, ice-skating, hockey and ice fishing.

The LDPOA is responsible for protecting and improving the lake and outlot areas of our community. Annual assessments and fees collected are used for the payment of real estate taxes, insurance, maintenance and upkeep of the lake, dam, spillway, seawalls, building and common grounds, the printing and mailing of our monthly newsletter and for the funding of various improvement and beautification projects. Volunteers and hired service firms provide the necessary labor. The LDPOA also works closely with local government agencies to foster improvement of our infrastructure and connecting waterways and to ensure the safety and protection of our residents and their property.

The LDPOA Board of Directors is comprised of 13 elected property owners who operate under the guidelines of our Articles of Incorporation, Amended Restrictive Covenants and By-Laws. All property owners are encouraged to participate through various community activities and by attending the monthly meetings of the LDPOA Board of Directors.

In addition to the monthly LDPOA Board of Directors meetings, the Community building is also used as a meeting place for other community organizations and can be rented out for showers, receptions and other social gatherings.

The continued growth and improvement of our community depends on the active participation of all property owners. We encourage you to keep informed of what is happening in your community through the newsletter, this website, attendance at monthly Board meetings and through active participation in your community’s development.

Sincerely,

The LDPOA Board of Directors
