Curbside Leaf Pickup
The curbside leaf vacuum program for unincorporated areas of Lake County will run from October 23, 2017 through November 25, 2017. This includes the communities of Lake Dalecarlia and the Fairways. Residents are asked to place their unbagged leaves in short high piles within four feet of the street. Leaves will not be collected if placed in bags or containers, are too far from the street or are otherwise not accessible. Avoid placing leaves in streets, ditches and drainage swales. Leaves placed around obstacles such as mailboxes, utility poles, guide wires and signs will not be collected until moved. This year's schedule has our Community pick-up on each Monday during the program's duration; however, weather conditions and unforeseen delays may impact pick-up. Please call or text PBS Enterprises at 219-798-5338 with questions. We urge all residents to take advantage of this program and to avoid burning leaves or raking them into the lake as these methods pollute both our air and waterways. Thank you.
We have an ongoing need for volunteer support for a variety of interior and exterior projects requiring carpenters, electricians, concrete workers, gardeners and general labor. Also, a number of our standing Committees need additional members. PLEASE consider donating your time for one or more of these vital projects. Donated time keeps our costs down which in turn helps control the Annual Assessment. Interested volunteers may call 219.696.0771 or e-mail email@example.com. Leave your name, telephone number, availability and the type of work you are able to do and/or the committee in which you would like to serve.
